On October 31st, Lishui District signed relevant cooperation agreements with Datang Jiangsu Power Generation Co., Ltd. and BYD Co., Ltd., intending to carry out in-depth cooperation in the energy storage industry, create an energy storage industry cluster, and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development. District Party Secretary Zhang Yun, District Mayor Miao Xiumei, Party Secretary and Chairman Guo Yabin of Datang Jiangsu Power Generation Co., Ltd., Executive Vice General Manager of Energy Storage at BYD Co., Ltd. Zhang Jinlong, and District leaders Tang Huiwei, Liu Jia, Xu Rixi, among others, attended the signing ceremony.

In recent years, Lishui has seized the golden opportunity period for energy storage development, formulated the "Lishui District New Energy Storage Industry Development Plan (2023-2027)", accelerated the layout of the energy storage industry, guided park enterprises to improve their green, intelligent, and high-end levels, and formed the basic advantages of the new energy storage industry. The Datang Group signed this contract is a state-owned super large energy enterprise directly managed by the central government and one of the five major power generation groups in China. The installed capacity of power generation reaches 170 million kilowatts, accounting for 6.6% of the total installed capacity in the country, with clean energy accounting for 42%; BYD is the world's second largest battery supplier and has formed a complete industrial chain that integrates research, development, manufacturing, sales, service, and recycling of energy storage products. In 2022, the national shipment volume of energy storage batteries exceeded 14GWh.

In his speech, Zhang Yun said that the Lishui system has considered and planned ahead, taking energy storage as the future direction of industrial development. He has done a lot of work in planning and design, industrial layout, project recruitment, and other aspects, focusing on sharing the "three sets of words". The first is "strong chain+complementary chain+extended chain". The energy storage industry is one of the six future industries in Nanjing. Lishui has been designated as a "key energy storage industry cluster" in the Nanjing Industrial Strong City Action Plan, striving to create an influential new energy storage industry cluster, a new energy storage collaborative innovation zone, and a new energy storage demonstration application highland. The second is "central enterprises+private enterprises+local areas". We hope to create a model of cooperation of "central enterprises+private enterprises+local areas" through tripartite cooperation. Lishui will spare no effort to provide good services and promote tripartite cooperation with great potential and potential. The third is "beauty+scene+vision". Amidst the beautiful scenery and lingering waters of Lishui, the ancient residence of "Encounter Garden" is located, symbolizing the meeting of more enterprises here. Lishui will always welcome entrepreneurs, open up more "scenarios" for energy storage applications, cooperate and achieve each other, and turn the "vision" of cooperation into a beautiful reality through shared opportunities.

Guo Yabin stated that in recent years, Datang Jiangsu Power Generation Co., Ltd. has accelerated its green and low-carbon transformation and development, accelerating the layout of emerging energy industries. Lishui has a good industrial foundation, and the company will fully leverage its own advantages, deepen cooperation with Lishui District and BYD, solidly ensure the supply of energy and electricity, promote the development of energy storage and hydrogen energy industries in Lishui District, and effectively fulfill the economic, political, and security responsibilities of energy central enterprises.

Zhang Jinlong stated that the positioning of the energy storage industry in Lishui is precise, and BYD's energy storage track is constantly being strengthened. Both sides have broad cooperation space. BYD will leverage its technological product advantages to conduct extensive and in-depth cooperation with Lishui District and Datang Company, achieving a win-win situation for all three parties.

At the signing ceremony, the district government and Datang Jiangsu Power Generation Co., Ltd. signed the "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement for New Energy Projects". The two sides will jointly carry out green energy development, comprehensive energy management, smart energy applications, and promote the green, low-carbon, and smart development of Lishui's energy industry. Datang Nanjing Thermal Power Co., Ltd., BYD Automotive Industry Co., Ltd., and the Development Zone have signed a "Strategic Cooperation Agreement" in the field of energy storage. The three parties will cooperate in the application of new energy technologies such as energy storage, photovoltaic, and comprehensive energy.
